Nomadic Nepal

The soul requires to find solace, to find peace, acceptance and love. We can only begin to find this when we take time to stop, listen and follow the heart. We find this by listening to spirit, letting go and allowing circumstance to shape us. Challenges assist this transformation, support & guidance protects it and openness embraces it.

The soul can find all this through travel to far away lands or right at home. For me my soul has found a fondness, a connection and an enhancement in Nepal. Within our initial 48 hours, my travel buddy and I were greeted with a unique liveliness that made us feel at peace while simultaneously energising us. Cati would describe it as bright, bustling and bewitching introduction.

Our encounters with the Nepalese have been effortless, helpful and dynamic. We began the trip with MoMos and Masala Mondays whilst a large monkey found it integral to make the dogs crazy and cross our lines. We continued meandering the streets while the locals looked on in astonishment as we got dressed in traditional Nepalese clothing in their streets. The women watched on in bewilderment, excitement accompanied with a sense of pride expressed through their large smiles and sparkling eyes. The men, were more confused yet remained interested.

Our afternoon was met with an inquisitive eye and a zest for knowledge leading us to our Nepalese family. The family read palms and created astrological charts providing me with insight into my past, present and future circumstances. We spent captivating evening sharing stories, opening up, laughter, smiles and advise. We sipped on more Masala and nibbled on roti before returning to our new abode to fall asleep to the noise of dogs and awake to he screams, cheers and triumphs of children beginning their school day.

Indulging in the universal language of smiles and laughter.
